Big Growth Energy!
April 15-21, 2024
This week begins the last full week of Mercury Retrograde, and it’s time to make edits, revisions, and to reconfigure any systems that aren’t working in your favor this week. We are clearing out the mental closets and getting rid of things to make way for something new! You may have lots of ideas floating around so be sure to write down the good ones, so you don’t forget.
On a bigger level, we have one of the most dynamic and earth-shaking transits for the whole year, happening this week! A new creative cycle is beginning!
The planet, Jupiter (known for expansion, growth, and abundance) is meeting up and coming conjunct with the planet Uranus (walking on the wild side, surprise endings, revolting energy). This is happening in the land of Taurus, an earth sign, known for being practical, creating stability, enjoying nature and sensory experiences, and being the “builder” of the zodiac.
What are you building right now?
Jupiter asks us to consider the eagle’s eye view, looking at the bigger picture of our life story, while Uranus is asking us to break free, destabilizing our normal day-to-day, and shows us where we want to step off the beaten path and do something different. Can you feel this?
What areas of life are you feeling fed up and ready to change?
Taurus energy brings in the question of stability and security. Does changing things up affect your time, energy, resources, or money? Then you might find it harder to let go or to incorporate something new. However, Uranus is urging you to break free and to try it a different way. This is a turning point. You may or may not see it coming, but things are shifting and we’re heading into a new way of being.
A turning point…
So, the question is- what are you building and where do you need more sensory or stability in your life? The thing is, that Uranus (the sign of lightning strikes) could be coming in to help to break something apart so you can build it anew. Can you feel that? Look back to 2010 – early 2011 (the last time Jupiter & Uranus met up in the sky) to compare what happened for you then to get a flavor of how this energy is coming in now. You can go back further to 1997 or 1983 and think about how this cycle, which happens every 13 1/2 to 14 years comes through to you. It’s wild to look back at your life and literally feel how the energetics came through!
For me in 1983, my parents divorced and we moved to a farm in Kentucky. My mother remarried and my siblings were born in subsequent years. In 1997 I started a new career path and began going back to school to earn my degree. And in 2010 I got married!
Something is changing, and you’re getting ready to take a quantum leap forward…the question is, does something have to shift, change, or be deconstructed in order for that leap to take place?
That may be a question you’re considering for the rest of this year. This is big, exciting, and potent energy! Look to where Taurus is located in your natal chart, and any planets you have there to see how this may be coming in for you.
